Joywheel has locally been heavily involved with the West Coast
Mainline Route Modernisation Project, working for Cementation
Foundations Skanska as well as working directly for Balfour
Beatty Rail Projects.
Areas of well-practiced and consistent success on this contract
include access road construction, excavation of gantry base
locations, concrete blinding of each base location prior to piling,
gantry base construction, crane base construction, REB and single
signal posts base construction and UTX construction. Joywheel
were also involved in the placing of anti-erosion matting
(containing wire rabbit netting) and hydroseeding, as well as
vegetation removal and re-profiling of embankments and
cuttings. The construction of footpaths, steps and car parks was
also undertaken regularly.
The heavily vegetated and subsiding embankments at Ledburn
were re-profiled after piling by Cementation Foundations Skanska.
Joywheel were also employed to construct the concrete
bases for each gantry and REB bases with troughing for cables.

Joywheel were responsible
for the preparation, sufacing and finishing works at Tring
Station Lower Carpark.
The company also helped refurbish Tring Station including the construction of
a new platform. The value of work undertaken by Joywheel at Tring Station exceeds £1
million. |
